Tweet Overlay is designed to add Twitter/X-style overlays to your photos and videos. The app operates entirely on your device, with your media never being transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers for processing.

2 Information We Do NOT Collect

It's important to understand what we don't collect:

• Your Photos or Videos: We do not upload, store, or have access to any photos or videos you process through the app. All media processing happens locally on your device.
• Personal Information: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personally identifiable information.
• Location Data: We do not collect or track your location.
• Device Information: We do not collect information about your device beyond what is necessary for the app to function.
• Usage Analytics: We do not track how you use the app or collect analytics about your behavior.

3 Information We Collect

3.1 Device Permissions

To provide our core functionality, Tweet Overlay requires certain permissions:

• Photo Library Access: Required to let you select photos and videos to add overlays to, and to save the final exported media back to your library.
• Camera Access (Optional): If you choose to take a photo or video directly within the app, we request camera access.
• Microphone Access (Optional): Only requested if you record videos with audio within the app.
• Notifications: Used to notify you when background video exports are complete.

All permissions are requested at the time they're needed, and you can revoke them at any time through your device settings.

3.2 Locally Stored Data

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

• Preset Settings: Your saved overlay presets (positions, colors, layout preferences) are stored in a local database on your device.
• App Preferences: Settings like your preferred aspect ratios and other customization options.
• Temporary Files: During video processing, temporary files are created on your device and automatically deleted after export.

3.3 Third-Party Services

Tweet Overlay integrates with the following third-party services:

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

• Purpose: Manages in-app purchases and subscriptions (Pro subscription and ad-free one-time purchase).
• Data Collected: App user ID (anonymous identifier), subscription status, purchase history.
• Privacy Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy

Google AdMob (Advertising - Free Users Only)

• Purpose: Displays banner and interstitial ads to free users who have not purchased ad-free access.
• Data Collected: Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS), device information, ad interaction data.
• Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy
• Opt-Out: You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking), or upgrade to Pro or purchase ad-free access to remove all ads.

4 How We Use Information

The limited information we collect through third-party services is used exclusively for:

• Processing and validating in-app purchases and subscriptions
• Displaying relevant advertisements to free users (can be disabled by upgrading)
• Sending notifications about completed background exports
• Ensuring the app functions properly on your device

5 Data Storage and Security

All of your photos, videos, and presets are stored exclusively on your device. We implement appropriate security measures:

• All media processing happens locally using your device's secure storage
• Temporary files created during export are automatically deleted
• App data is protected by iOS's built-in security features
• No media content is transmitted over the internet

6 Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to third parties. The only data sharing that occurs is:

• RevenueCat: Anonymous purchase and subscription information for managing your purchases
• Google AdMob: Advertising identifiers and device information for serving ads (free users only, unless tracking is disabled)
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights

7 Children's Privacy

Tweet Overlay is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

8 Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access and Deletion: Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.
• Subscription Information: You can view and manage your subscription through your device's app store (iOS: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions).
• Advertising: You can limit ad tracking through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking).

11 Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Your presets and settings remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app
• Temporary export files are automatically deleted after successful export
• Purchase information is retained by RevenueCat according to their retention policy
• Ad interaction data is retained by Google AdMob according to their retention policy

12 California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know what personal information is collected
• Right to know whether personal information is sold or disclosed
• Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
• Right to request deletion of personal information

Given that we do not collect personal information beyond what our third-party service providers collect, most CCPA requests would need to be directed to those providers.
